Description
The ESD.30 is a versatile wireless PIR detector that provides covert, long-range detection for the purpose of CCTV and lighting control, intruder detection, perimeter protection and remote switching. It is suitable for both domestic and commercial applications and is the most powerful PIR detector in the EasySwitch range.

The ESD.30 features a long-range, wide-angle detection pattern of 30m x 20m. The viewing angle can be adjusted using the internal pan and tilt feature to position the lens, and the sliding internal curtains can be used to narrow the field of view by masking the outer edges of the lens. As the window of the detector is opaque, it is impossible to tell which way the internal PIR is facing, allowing the ESD.30 to cover all angles discreetly without needing to face the direction it is looking at. The adjustable viewing angle and masking features also reduce the amount of potential false alarms, ie. pets or moving foliage. The detector can be walk tested by way of an internal red LED.
Thanks to smart power-saving technology, the ESD.30 boasts an impressive battery life of up to 3-years on a single set of batteries and can transmit wirelessly to any EasySwitch receiver up to a maximum of 500 metres line of sight. If used with either an ESR.4 or ESR8+8 receiver and an AE434 external aerial, the maximum wireless transmission range can be extended even further. The ESD.30 can be paired with more than one receiver, allowing it to control several systems simultaneously, eg. simultaneously provide alarm outputs to a CCTV system, activate lighting and sound an audible alert via an ESB.1.
